One of the most common mistakes we see Quickbooks users make is
to use a "standard" Chart of Accounts provided by the software
during setup. The Chart of Accounts is the backbone of the
accounting and financial reporting system. A poorly designed
chart will quickly reveal itself to a banker, investor, accountant,
or other interested person.

Although QuickBooks is designed for use by
non-accountants, the initial setup and installation must be done
correctly in order for future information to be accurate. Failure to
setup the software correctly can (and most likely will) cause problems
